WHERE BOOKS COME TO LIFE

This online resource came from the fevered imagination of Frances Day, an artist’s book maker and member of Stroud Artists Books, The Bookband and the Society of Bookbinders Artists Books Group.

Having participated in endless discussions within these groups concerning the difficulty of exhibiting books in a conventional gallery, she hopes to provide an ongoing resource and collaboration space dedicated to creating active and exciting new ways in which to access such works of art.

Our aims

Providing a means for visitors to see artists books in action

Fevered Imagination offers the opportunity for those involved in exhibiting artists books to work with us to make resources available online that enhance the visitor experience. Examples are shown on this site and we are happy to engage with new ideas for communicating the excitement of artists’ books.

Promoting book arts

We hope to become a resource for book artists and promoters alike, and would be pleased to showcase artists’ books in an online gallery format if relevant.

Our Story

Artist Services

We offer each artist a page on the Fevered Imagination website where they can provide details about themselves and their working practice, with links to all artists’ books they are exhibiting in the gallery. There is no charge to exhibit in the gallery, but we do levy a 15% commission on sales to cover costs.

More Information

Buyers

If you are interested in buying work from the gallery, you can do so on the site using any usual online payment method. All prices are clearly displayed, and we also add an amount for postage, packing and insurance to ensure that books reach you safely.
The artist will send the book to you directly. If the book should arrive damaged or otherwise unacceptable, we provide a two week return period with full refund available.
